Park Bo Gum has surprised fans with the news of an upcoming collaboration!
On the March 20th episode of “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook,” Park Bo Gum appeared on the show as the guest of singer Lee Seung Chul. Park Bo Gum, well known for his piano abilities, showed off his talents by playing the piano as Lee Seung Chul sang. Afterwards, Park went on to play several more pieces, charming the audience with his talent, kindness, and humility.
He went on to reveal that he had originally dreamed of being a singer, but his agency recommended he begin acting because they felt his skills as a singer were still lacking. In fact, Park Bo Gum previously revealed that before signing to his label at the time, he originally auditioned as a singer for SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and more.
Despite his setbacks, however, Park Bo Gum didn’t give up on his dreams and eventually began releasing a few songs as singles or OSTs. He released his first track “My Person” in 2016 as an OST for his drama “Love In The Moonlight.” He went on to make his Japanese debut in 2019 with “Bloomin” and recently released his first full Japanese album, entitled blue bird.
In fact, his dreams of singing aren’t showing any signs of slowing down! Before the end of his appearance on the new episode of “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook,” Park Bo Gum revealed that he is working on a project with Korean-American singer Sam Kim from Antenna Music.
Sam Kim is known for his raspy, throaty voice full of soul. He can tackle anything from soft hip-hop to soaring ballads. As such, it’s no doubt the combination of Park Bo Gum’s pure, clear voice with Sam Kim’s famous vocals will be an interesting collaboration sure to please fans!
