The highly anticipated drama “Hwarang” has finally released their first official trailer!
The drama stars Park Seo Joon, Go Ara, and ZE:A‘s Hyungsik. The story follows a group of young people in a coming of age tale as they navigate life around the capital of the Kingdom of Silla.
In addition to the lead actors, the drama is also filled with a large cast of other gorgeous idols stars such as SHINee‘s Minho and BTS‘s V (Kim Taehyung). With such an assortment of “flower boy” faces and with the acting debut of V, many fans have been anticipating the drama since it was first announced.
With the recent success of another idol-filled, historical drama, “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo,” many people are wondering if this new drama will also manage to achieve such popularity as well. Combining historical details, extravagant costumes and sets, and a lot of imagination, this genre has recently attracted a new generation of viewers to period dramas.
The drama is set to begin airing on December 19th on KBS.
