Nam Joo Hyuk has found a new entertainment agency to call home!
It was revealed in March that the handsome model and actor was thinking of joining Management SOOP after his contract with YG Entertainment ended. However, upon hearing the news, YG stated that they were still in talks about signing a new contract. A month later, the news has been confirmed that the actor didin fact leave YG and has signed with SOOP.
Management SOOP is home to many respected A-list actors such as “Goblin” star Gong Yoo, “Vagabond” star Bae Suzy, Kim Jae Wook of “Her Private Life,” Choi Woo Shik of “Parasite,” and many more.
After making his debut as a model, Nam later debuted as an actor in 2014. He went on to gain a large following for his roles in dramas like “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” and “Bride of the Water God.” Currently, he is filming “Remember” with veteran actor Lee Sung Min. The film centers on an older man who lost everything due to pro-Japanese factions during the Japanese occupation of Korea and seeks out his revenge, aided by a young man played by Nam. The film is highly anticipated as it is the new project from director Lee Il Hyung, the mind behind the hit film “A Violent Prosecutor.”
In addition, Nam Joo Hyuk will soon be appearing in a new drama, entitled “Start-Up,” opposite Bae Suzy. Later this year, he will also begin filming for the highly-anticipated and majorly star-studded film “Here” with Lee Byung Hun, Shin Min Ah, Han Ji Min, and more.
