LU4US’ Kyungjin Announces Departure From Group After 7 Years

On June 16th, just after midnight KST, LU4US (formerly LU:KUS, L.A.U) Kyungjin revealed that he has decided to part ways with the JWK Entertainment boy group.

The vocalist recently returned after completing his military service in November and rejoined his members Donghyeon, Choi, and newest addition Jonghyo for LU4US’ online concerts.

On Instagram, he informed fans of the sad news through a heartfelt poetic letter which explained his feelings.

Hello, I’m Kyungjin.

At this time, I’ve decided to stop my career as a member of LU4US. Some of you might have guessed, some of you might be surprised.

First, I’ll say I’m sorry. I want to say I’m sorry to the members who are having a hard time mentally and emotionally because of my decision. Once again, I’m sorry for the fans and I’m sorry to the members too.

At the age of 23, I debuted in a group called LU:KUS, I’m 30 years old, and I’m still in LU4US. I’ve learned a lot about life.

A humble man named Min Kyungjin enjoyed too much love and happiness more than he deserved. I think so. Therefore, I lived a life without worries and I have been living in your interest and love every day.

After I came back from the army, I thought about my identity. I’m planning my future life. Now, I’m still living an unstable life, I remember myself when I was 20 years old. Once again I have a dream and I’m going to challenge it.

I want to say I’m sorry to the members for my decision. Fans are simply more than friends and family, not fans. We had a hard time together on a big stage where no one can climb. We shared our memories by singing together.

That’s why we became friends who supported each other’s lives, not just the support of singers from fans. As the relationship continues to this day, you became more than just a fan, but friends and family.

It’s not just that fans love and cheer for singers. Thank you for letting us know that artists can support and love their fans. I had a really happy time because of everyone.

Now, I’m going to stop working as a member of LU4US, but I’m going to continue working on a different path.

I’m starting my activities with a new album. Please give a lot of support and love to the LU4US members as well.

Thank you! Goodbye!

Kyungjin (former LU4US member)

LU4US made their debut in 2014 under the name LU:KUS and their loyal fans stayed with them for the past 7 years amidst company and member changes. Promoting primarily in Japan where their work has most been appreciated, they also receive love in Korea and globally who continue to support them vehemently.

We wish Kyungjin the greatest of success in the next stage of his career!
