Los Angeles Elementary School Honors SHINee For Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Kpop is truly everywhere these days, and that became even more evident after a recent assembly at a Los Angeles elementary school.

In celebration of Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the young students of an elementary school showed off their love of SHINee!

In the video, the children jam out to SHINee’s song “1 of 1,” never missing a beat or even a single lyric. Considering that these are young American students who primarily speak English, their ability to keep up with the lyrics of a Kpop song is super impressive!

The group of approximately 75 school kids dance along and even hold handmade SHINee fan signs as the original MV plays behind them on a screen! The only thing that could have made this moment more perfect would have been SHINee walking out to surprise the kids.

Isn’t it great seeing Kpop become more global? It’s also inspiring to see how children are so accepting and understand that music has no language barrier?!
