Blockberry Creative girl group LOONA has wrapped up their first world tour!
The [LOONATHEWORLD] tour consisted of three legs across 19 cities in North America, Europe, and South Korea. It kicked off in L.A. on August 1st at the historic Wiltern Theatre while the final stop in Seoul, holding two concerts at the SK Handball Gymnasium on October 15th and 16th.
In their finale show, LOONA gave fans (called “Orbit”) a surprise welcome when they emerged from within the crowd and interacted directly with the audience. The members proceeded to take the stage and captivate with their signature performances which included long-awaited solo stages and an emotional encore with fan songs “Universe” and “Playback.”
The latter is the closing track from their most recent Korean release Flip That which includes personalized lyrics written by members Kim Lip, Yves, and Haseul. Fans outside of Korea were able to tune into the two Seoul concerts virtually via live-streaming on the platform, MyMusicTaste.
Unfortunately, LOONA member Chuu was unable to participate in any [LOONATHEWORLD] shows with Blockberry Creative citing “predetermined individual schedule conflicts” as the reason. Subsequently, it was announced that Chuu would also absent from the group’s Japanese promotions.
Many fans are growing increasingly frustrated at the company for its lack of transparency or proper clarification on the issue while others are hopeful that LOONA will once again return as a 12-member group that will continue to break records and mesmerize fans worldwide!
