Jeil, the main vocalist and maknae of the boy group XST (formerly M.Fect), has participated in an OST that was released on April 1st!
The song “Normal But Special” is from the new web drama of the same name and is featured heavily in the teaser. Jeil took to Instagram to let fans know about his participation in the track, excitedly posting about the release of the song and the upcoming web drama.
The teaser will be released at 6 o’clock and will be aired every Wednesday from next week ~

Jeil debuted as a member of M.Fect in 2015, but he left the group in early 2019. It wasn’t until the group left their old company Midas Entertainment and rebranded as XST (pronounced like “EXIT”) that he returned to the group again in November of last year.
“Normal But Special” is a mid-tempo, funk-pop song pairing Jeil’s sweet voice with an addictive guitar rhythm and a catchy hook. It was written and composed by the two-member group 92Hz, which consists of singer-songwriter Swim In U and songwriter Dahye and both of whom contributed to the production and arrangement of every song on the OST.
Swim In U also performs a few songs on the soundtrack, as does the indie singer-songwriter Oh Eunyoung, who made her debut in the industry back in 2012. Also featured on the soundtrack is vocalist Kwon Youngjo, who you may know from the OST “Kiss” from the drama sitcom “Shut Up And Smash.”
“Normal But Special” is a web drama about an ordinary high school club that takes a class trip to the sea where the series then focuses on the relationships and happenings between the classmates.
It features an ensemble cast, many of whom are making their acting debut with this drama. There is one prominent exception, however, and that is former BEATWIN member and “The Unit” contestant Hwang Jungha.
You can catch the web drama “Normal But Special” here on YouTube starting April 8th. It will be available on V Live starting April 15th and will air every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. KST.
