On September 17th at 6 p.m. KST, boy group MVP showed their strong will and determination to fans – appropriately named “Victory” – by returning after 4 years with their highly anticipated second mini-album, I’m A Go.
Following the release of singles “Every Day” in October last year and “Good Day” in May of this year (both of which are included in the new album), expectations for MVP’s new activities were heightened. Thus, the group went through a fierce process of selecting a list from hundreds of songs to create the perfect body of work for their return.
Title track “I’m A Go” is infused with MVP’s unique colors and was written by members Kanghan, P.K, and Rayoon and composed by Nameless A.K.A NL. It is a song that captures the flow of pop music with the distinctive focus on the feel of K-pop, addictive rap and vocals create the main loop and showcase each member’s individuality.
The choreography is a dynamic performance incorporating elements of the dance style krumping and will be revealed through the song’s music video, which is scheduled for release in October, when MVP will also officially begin broadcasting activities.
Experiencing a difficult time due to the absence of two members: Gitaek, who is currently in the military, and Jin, the twin brother of member Been whose absence is remains unexplained.
Fans express frustration at MVP’s company, PH Entertainment, both for their handling of the situation and for the lack of visible support in promoting the comeback.
The group’s official accounts have not been used in almost a year and the members themselves resorted to promoting and announcing the release on their personal Instagram accounts.
