It’s already been a massive year for singer-songwriter James Lee!
With the release of his second EP Castles in addition to a string of highly successful hits, the former Royal Pirates member is not done yet, dropping a brand new track “Worlds Apart” on September 5th PDT.
James took to Twitter and Instagram to describe his new project as “…a song about the troubles of distance with your girl (in a pandemic).”
The feeling of longing to spend precious time with your loved one is prominent throughout the emotional and moody track. As always, James’ vocals are sublime, delivering his lyrics with a vulnerability and openness that draws you in with every line.
The combination of the addictive synth melody, hip-hop/trap inspired beats, deep bass and vocal harmonies with haunting reverb effects, will have you simultaneously bopping your head while holding back tears thinking of all the people you wish to be close to right now.
“Worlds Apart” is available on all streaming and downloading sites here.
