2021 has begun with a pleasant surprise for fans of the boy group, HOTSHOT!
Member Timoteo has taken part in the action film “Mr. Boss” OST, with the song being released on January 4th at 12 p.m KST.
The song is called “Because Of You” and is a beautifully created and heartfelt ballad that showcases the singer’s captivating and sincere vocals.
It was written and composed by members of the music production team KINOPOST, who also worked on the movie. This included KINOPOST president and sound advisor Lee Kijoon and sound designer Heo Yura, known for making emotional film scores.
“Mr. Boss” is an exciting high school action film that was released on December 30th, 2020. It stars B1A4’s Gongchan and former RAINZ member turned soloist, Hong Eunki.
Despite debuting almost seven years ago as HOTSHOT’s lead dancer, vocalist, rapper and face of the group, “Because Of You” marks the first official solo release by Timoteo. The multi-talented artist is a former S.M. Entertainment trainee (along with HOTSHOT leader Junhyuk), and he was going to debut as an EXO member before he left the company.
In 2017, he appeared with HOTSHOT member Hojung as contestants on the KBS2 survival program “The Unit,”” before ultimately finishing in 10th place.
Proving he is not only talented when it comes to music, Timoteo has shown off his cooking skills as the main MC on the EBSe cooking show “Cook! 10 Minutes!“ and also ventured into acting in 2019 by displaying his charms in the multichannel web drama “Spunk,” starring opposite popular Filipino K-pop idol Kriesha Chu.
Timoteo is also the founding member of one of K-pop’s most famous friendship groups: the “padding squad,” which consists of SHINee’s Taemin, EXO’s Kai, VIXX’s Ravi, BTS’ Jimin, fellow HOTSHOT member Ha Sungwoon, and non-celebrity friend Jung Kwonho.
“Because Of You” is available on all streaming and download sites. You can also listen to the official audio below!
