Ailee is back after 11 months with the digital single “The BOSS” on September 24th at 6 p.m. KST!
“The BOSS” is a disco-based synth-pop track that builds from the beginning, with a memorable main synth riff that repeats throughout the song. Ailee’s breezy and refreshing vocals maximize the instrumentation while simultaneously evoking both the songstress’ recent musical evolution while invoking the sound of her early days as an artist.
The lyrics contain the message to love and believe in ourselves more and that we are “the boss” of our own lives. Lyricist Jennifer Eunsoo Kim penned the lyrics while SELAH and Louise Frick Sveen handled the composition. Additionally, Ailee herself serves as a music producer on the record.
