Famous singer Lee Sun Hee will be collaborate on her upcoming album with EXO‘s Chanyeol!
On June 3rd KST, the news was revealed that the famous singer, often referred to as Korea’s “National Diva,” would be collaborating with Chanyeol for the title track of her upcoming 16th album. While she has sung with idol singers on TV, such as her beautiful performances with Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun or a special performance with Lee Seung Gi, this collaboration with Chanyeol will mark the first time that Lee Sun Hee has ever invited an idol singer to participate on one of her albums in the course of her 36 years as a singer.
Lee Sun Hee debuted in 1984 with the song “To J,” a song she retrieved out of the trash after a songwriter threw it away. With the song, she won a song festival, then went on to release her first album. Since then, she has released 15 albums and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, becoming one of only four South Koreans to do so.
Ms. Lee’s new album, along with her new title track featuring EXO’s Chanyeol, will be out on June 15th. This will be part one of her album, with part two due out in the fall. In addition to the track, in which Chanyeol features as a rapper, the two singers are also in talks for a collaboration stage.
