Kim Go Eun And Park Jung Min To Star In Upcoming Hip-Hop Film

“Goblin” Star Kim Go Eun will be hitting the big screen with her latest project, “Byeonsan” (Byeon Mountain). The film will also co-star Park Jung Min from “Entourage.”

The film is directed by Lee Joon Ik, the maker of notable films such as “The King and The Clown,” “Dongju: The Portrait of A Poet,” and the new film “Anarchist From Colony.”

The story is about Haksoo (Park Jung Min), an unpopular hip-hop rapper who fails his preliminary rounds of an audition. He goes back to his hometown where he reunites with Sun-mi (Kim Go Eun), his old friend and classmate from elementary school. It is a film mixed with laughter and stirring emotions that will focus on the life of rappers and how they struggle in the current hip-hop generation.

This will be the reunion project of Director Lee Joon Ik and Park Jung Min since they worked together in the film, “Dongju: The Portrait of A Poet.”

The director said he chose Kim Go Eun and Park Jung Min as the main leads for his thirteenth project because the two actors had both made an impact on him since their debut. Kim Go Eun said she is an avid fan of Director Lee and that it is a good opportunity for her to expand her horizons as an actress.

Filming will begin this fall.
