Sad news for Topp Dogg fans today! It has been announced that Jenissi is leaving the group to pursue his career as a solo artist.
After it was noticed that Jenissi wasn’t included in the teaser for the group’s comeback, Hunus Entertainment released a statement on November 1st to confirm that Jenissi would be leaving the group. The label took to the group’s official fan cafe to address fans’ concerns.
According to the company, there are no hard feelings between Jenissi and the other members. It was only after a long period of thought and discussion that Jenissi, the rapper and oldest member of Topp Dogg, decided to pursue his career as a solo artist instead. In fact, he already released his first solo album earlier this year. Despite leaving the group, the artist will still continue under the same label.
Meanwhile, Topp Dogg is preparing for a comeback and will continue promotions as a nine-member group. Their first full-length studio album is set to be released on November 7th and is entitled First Street.
