Japanese boy group BE:FIRST has released their first concert film “BE:FIRST LIVE in DOME 2024 Mainstream – Masterplan.”
Filmed at the group’s first-ever Tokyo Dome show in March this year, the two-and-a-half-hour long movie features over 20 performances that include hit songs such as “Mainstream,” “Boom Boom Back” and “Smile Again,” as well as their latest single “Masterplan” which topped the Billboard JAPAN Hot 100 chart and has over 27 million views on its music video.
“BE:FIRST LIVE in DOME 2024 Mainstream – Masterplan” had four shows — two at Tokyo Dome and two at Osaka’s Kyocera Dome. All four shows sold out within three minutes of tickets going on sale.
BE:FIRST — who debuted in November 2021 — formed through the reality audition program “THE FIRST,” hosted by producer and rapper SKY-HI. Through their debut song “Gifted,” the seven-member lineup of Sota, Shunto, Manato, Ryuhei, Junon, Ryoki, and Leo presented an innovative sound and versatile artistry.
“Gifted” became the most-discussed song on Twitter at the time and topped the Billboard Hot Trending Songs chart. It also reached the top of various music charts in Japan, including the Billboard Japan Hot 100. Recently, BE:FIRST collaborated with K-pop superstars ATEEZ on the multilingual track “Hush-Hush.”
The group’s second album 2:BE will be out on August 28th. Meanwhile, “BE:FIRST LIVE in DOME 2024 Mainstream – Masterplan” can be globally streamed here starting July 11th on Amazon Prime Video with a Prime membership.
