INFINITE’s L Announces Departure From Woollim Entertainment After Contract Ended

Another big change in the K-pop world! INFINITE‘s L has announced he has left Woollim Entertainment.

After rumors concerning the news circulated in Korea, L confirmed the story directly by revealing he had left the company after his contract ended last week. He stated that after much thought and careful consideration, he decided to begin a new path on his own as he takes on new challenges. He revealed the news in a lengthy, handwritten letter to fans via his Instagram account.

L (who works as an actor under his real name Kim Myung Soo) debuted in 2010 as a member of the boy group INFINITE. Just one year after his singing debut, he made his entrance into the acting world through a drama in Japan. The following year, he made his Korean acting debut, thus leading to a successful career as a promising young actor. Since then, he has become a leading man, starring in dramas like “Ms. Hammurabi” and “Angel’s Last Mission: Love.”

In the meantime, L will be holding a solo fan meeting on September 1st at the Taipei International Convention Center in Taiwan.

We wish L the best of luck in his future activities!
