HyunA and PENTAGON‘s E’Dawn have confirmed they are in a relationship!
Earlier this week, rumors broke out that the two Cube Entertainment artists were dating, but Cube quickly denied the reports and said they were false. However, it looks like the couple decided to share the news themselves.
According to their report to Yonhap News, they have been dating since May 2016, which makes their relationship over two years old. The pair stated that they thought it would be difficult to look fans in the eye if they denied the rumors, so instead, they decided to go public. The decision was motivated by respect for the fans, stating that they wanted to be honest with those who loved and supported them as fans.
According to HyunA, she met E’Dawn when he was still a trainee and grew close to him as a friend first. It wasn’t until later, however, that they begin to date. She says they have only grown closer with time and went on to share how he had influenced and helped her music. HyunA revealed that even if his name didn’t appear in the credits for her album, his influence was definitely there.
In their statement to Yonhap, the two revealed that they felt sorry to fans but would work even harder to pay them back with great music.
The news comes only hours after fellow PENTAGON member Hui was rumored to be dating another label mate, Soojin of (G)I-DLE. However, Cube confirms that particular couple was in fact dating before, but they have since broken up.
