Girl Group Girls’ Alert Announces Disbandment After Three Years

On April 24 KST, it was announced that K-pop girl group Girls’ Alert (also known as GsA) will be disbanding after 3 years.

The five-member group’s company Roots Entertainment explained in a statement that the current Covid-19 crisis and other circumstances have worsened their situation and they can no longer manage Girls’ Alert.

The members’ contracts have all been terminated, and it was also revealed that youngest member Narin withdrew from the group earlier this month, leading to the postponement of the group’s comeback.

The company stated that schedules planned before this news will still go ahead as much as possible with the active members.

Girls’ Alert debuted on May 25, 2017, with the song “Dreamgirls.” Later that year, members Saetbyeol and Gooseul were contestants on the survival show “MIXNINE.”

The group made their first comeback the following year with “Daddy Long Legs,” and in December 2018, then-leader Gyeoul left the group to focus on her studies.

Their most recent release was in August with “We Got The Power”.

We wish all the members the very best in the next chapter of their careers!
