Former 9MUSES Member Sungah Gives Birth To First Child

Former girl group member Sungah of 9MUSES has revealed that she’s given birth to her first child! She shared the news with a sweet video on Instagram.

On March 19th, at 3:09 p.m KST, Sungah and her husband, the veteran Korean DJ known as DJ Daq — who most recently worked with acts such as DPR LIVE — welcomed a precious baby boy, weighing in at 3.4kgs/7.5lbs.

Sungah wrote on Instagram, referring to her son as a “blessing” and expressing thanks to him for coming into the couple’s life and explaining how she is unable to express her feelings with words.

Revealing that she fell in love with him from the first moment she saw him, the rapper and vocalist says they will live healthily and happily together as a family.

Sungah is the first member of 9MUSES to become a mother, making this the first “baby muse” — as fans are calling the child — to be born.

An original member of 9MUSES, Eunji, who departed the group in 2014, is also currently expecting her first child with her husband, announcing the pregnancy in December of last year.

Sungah debuted in 9MUSES in 2013, joining the group for the release of their single “Dolls.” She took a hiatus from the group in 2017 to focus more on becoming a DJ and studying music.

The Star Empire Entertainment girl group disbanded in February 2019, with Sungah leaving the company shortly after.

Following a year of dating, Sungah and DJ Daq tied the knot on May 20th 2018, and announced the exciting pregnancy news on January 1st, 2020.

Congratulations to the couple on the arrival of their healthy baby boy!
