On October 6th, SM Station released a new song entitled “Years,” featuring Chen of EXO and famous Swedish DJ and producer Alesso.
The song was originally written and released by Alesso in 2012 and featured American singer Matthew Koma. The song went on to do exceptionally well, particularly on British music charts.
The famous DJ, producer and musician announced that he would be releasing a new version of the song and would feature Chen. The artist specializes in progressive house music and EDM. He has performed with some of the greatest artists in the world, including Madonna, Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Usher. He has performed at the most popular music festivals around, such as Coachella and Tomorrowland.
Alesso held a fan meeting at the SM TOWN COEX Artium, allowing him to meet with his many Korean fans. He had a Q&A session and played games with the fans in attendance. They also debuted the music video and Chen made a special appearance with a recorded video in honor of the occasion. Afterwards, Alesso commented that he had never experienced anything like a Korean fan meeting and that he had really enjoyed it.
EXO fans are also sure to enjoy hearing Chen’s English skills in the song, as well as hearing him tackle such a different genre of music.
