WATCH: Eddy Kim Is Ready To Admit His Crush In Colorful “Whoa Whoa” MV

Before singer-songwriter Eddy Kim wrote his new single “Whoa Whoa,” he decided that he would like to write “a song that, even a long time from now, would still be good every time you listened to it.”

With the help of famed songwriter Kim Eana (IU‘s “Good Day,” Browneyed Girls‘ “Abracadabra”), he was able to come up with a love song from the perspective of a man who is unable to hide his feelings when in front of the girl he likes. During the process, he heavily considered performing the song in a folk pop or even punk genre, but settled upon simply using his electric guitar to create a track that is punchy yet packed with a ‘puppy love’ kind of charm.

“Whoa Whoa” was officially released on April 16th at 6 PM KST through his label Mystic Entertainment. The agency describes the track “whose title is only the beginning of its uniqueness.”
