BTS has hit another major milestone!
On August 19th KST, the music video for “Dope” hit over 200 million views on YouTube. The video was originally released in June 2015.
This marks BTS’s first MV to hit this amazing number of views, making them the only artist from outside the major three entertainment labels to hit this number. Recently, TWICE hit 200 million on one of their own MVs and become the first non-YG Entertainment artist to reach this number. Now, BTS has joined the ranks of this exclusive club in Kpop!
In addition to reaching this amount of views, BTS also hit over 2 million likes on the MV. They are the only Kpop group to reach this number of likes, and “Dope” is now their fifth video to accomplish this goal.
Reaching this huge amount of views used to be unheard of for Kpop, but as the community of Kpop fans has grown around the world, so has the reach of artists and their videos.
