Controversial Singer Yoo Seung Jun Announces Comeback With New Album

Yoo Seung Jun, also known as Steven Yoo, is coming back to release an album after 17 years!

The album’s reported release is going to be on December 5th along with a music video for the title track, “Another Day.”  The singer was revealed to have taken part in writing all of the B-side tracks, consisting of various genres. Prior to the album’s release, “Another Day” is going to be made available for streaming and download on November 22nd. Yoo Seung Jun shared that all the profit from this album will be donated to good causes.

Previously one of the best-selling megastars in the late 1990s to the early 2000s, Yoo Seung Jun received a lot of criticism in 2002 for acquiring a US citizenship a few months before he was due for military service. He was the first high-profile star to do so.

Those who evade military enlistment are often saddled with heavy penalties and face harsh public backlash. In his case, the South Korean government considered his course of action to be desertion and decided to deport him and issued a ban to prevent him from ever returning to the country,
