Song Changgyu, lead vocalist of boy group UNVS, has quietly enlisted on November 17th KST.
The news was revealed just one day ago by company CHITWN MUSIC through their official SNS and the UNVS fancafe, stating that the details of the enlistment will be kept private and asked fans to continue to give the group a lot of support.
Changgyu is one of only two original UNVS members who originally debuted in Taiwan back in 2016. After a line-up change and some rebranding, the group as we know it today debuted in Korea in 2020 and left a strong impression on K-pop fans for their vocal harmonies and refreshingly mature image.
News of Changgyu’s enlistment has come as a surprise to fans who have tirelessly supported UNVS. However, the shock was lessened by the release of youngest member Jen’s solo performance video of the “midnight remix” of their most recent single, “Sand Castle.” Best of luck to Changgyu as he completes his military duties!
