BTS’s “Fake Love” Takes Over Charts And Sets New Records On YouTube

Breaking their own records, BTS’s newest title track MV “Fake Love,” from their third full album Love Yourself: Tear,  was released on May 18th at 6 p.m. KST. The MV hit over 10 million views in what was just shy of 5 hours! This surpassed their last record of 10 million views in approximately eight hours, which was set by their comeback with “DNA.”

Now, “Fake Love” has already surpassed 20 million views! The MV hit the milestone on May 19th KST in just under 9 hours! In fact, BTS may be able to break the record of most MV views on YouTube in 24 hours if they surpass Taylor Swift’s 43.2 Million views on her song, “Look What You Made Me Do.”

Just looking at the charts, BTS is— per usual— sweeping every real-time chart!

As of May 18th at 8:30 p.m. KST, “Fake Love” reached an All-Kill on all of the main Korean Charts including Melon, Genie, Bugs, Mnet, Naver, and Soribada! They are taking over the charts not only with their title track, but with the other album tracks as well. Their song “The Truth Untold (feat. Steve Aoki)” sits at number two on all the charts.

In addition, “Fake Love” has hit number one on iTunes charts in over 67 different countries, and that number is just going to continue to grow!

Before the group even released the album and music video, they had already set new records with their pre-order results. With over 1.4 million albums sold in pre-orders, this set a new record for Kpop and also made the group the first Kpop artist to have multiple albums sell over a million copies in pre-order alone. BTS has definitely spread worldwide, and these numbers just seem to prove the power behind BTS and their fans!

Congratulations to BTS!
