BTS took home four awards at the 26th Seoul Music Awards, including the prize for Best Album!
On January 19th, the popular idol group took home more awards than any other group that night! The won the Best Music Video Award for their “Blood, Sweat and Tears” music video, Best Male Dance Performance Award, a Bonsang Award, and the Best Album Award!
When receiving the award for Best Album for WINGS, leader Rap Monster went on to make a well-spoken and thoughtful speech about why their music has made such an impact, “Over the past year, we’ve received so much love for our theme of youth and ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life.’ These days, I think young people have a really hard time. Whether it’s on the inside or outside, when young people meet up, they tend to both start and end their conversation with ‘I’m having a hard time’… I jokingly started off [today] by saying ‘Let’s be happy!’, but I truly hope that 2017 will be a happy year where young people can smile a lot.”
When the night was over, the group went on to share multiple pictures and videos on their Twitter account, thanking fans for their support and sharing their excitement.
