BTS has reached over 5 million followers on the V LIVE app!
VLIVE was an app created by Naver company, who also have created and continue to manage websites such as Naver Cafe and the LINE messaging system. Its purpose was solely to keep up with fans’ favorite bands and artists in live broadcasts, as well as in pre-filmed videos. Since its creation, there’s been a subscription membership channel base (called Channel +) put in place for each group or artist that wishes to offer “plus” channels, as well as a live chat room system.
The seven members of BTS can be seen often as they show off their new songs or live-broadcast performances and awards shows. On the other hand, they, like other bands, play around on their off time simply to communicate with their fans and make them laugh and be happy. They have been considered one of the most active groups on the V LIVE app.
Considering the amount of artists that use V LIVE to communicate with fans and advertise upcoming comebacks and projects, hitting 5 million followers is certainly something BTS can be proud of! There are many other groups quickly catching up to BTS on the follower count, including EXO, BIGBANG, Twice, and GOT7.
BTS just won “Top Social Artist” at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, and this kind of virtual interaction with fans shows exactly why they have such a high demand online!
