On October 20th, BTS won yet again for their new song, “Blood Sweat & Tears,” on Mnet’s music show M!Countdown. Their album, Wings, has already been gaining international attention by being the first album to place on UK charts, among other things.
This episode, members Jin and Jimin were MCs along SHINee’s Key. Right after the winning announcement, group leader Rap Monster is given the mic. He thanks Big Hit staff, their managers, and fans for all their hard work. Then he slips into English, expressing thanks for all of BTS’s international fans.
“And today,” he says, “I just really wanna tell you this— that we thank you and love you so much for the, all ARMYs all over the world, like, you know: Asia, Europe, North and South America, Africa, and even, you know, like Oceania and Greenland. Thank you very much, we love you! *Kamsahamnida!”
After member V throws in a few more words of thanks, “Blood Sweat & Tears” plays for the encore, and the members proceed to lie down on the stage, singing the entire song in various sleeping-positions. J-Hope makes fans’ hearts flutter, propped up on one elbow as he serenades them. Suga plays with some streamers as he sings, and Jin spends the whole time lying on Jungkook‘s stomach.
