BTS has achieved another wonderful feat!
On October 11th KST, it was revealed that the world-famous boy group has sold over 2 million copies of their newest album, Love Yourself: Answer. This amazing number means the group has become the first Korean artist in 18 years to go over 2 million copies sold of a single album. The last artist to achieve this number was Jo Sung Mo in 2000.
With a current number of 2,001,191 albums sold, they are only the 9th artist in Korean history to reach this number of sales.
This also means that BTS is the first to reach this number since Gaon Charts implemented their new ranking system, thus making them to first to have an album officially certified as a double million seller on Gaon.
Meanwhile, BTS was named the Best Social Artist of 2018 at the American Music Awards this week.
