Brian Joo gave fans a nice surprise when he updated his Instagram account with a picture of him and his celebrity friends. The celebrities in question? Choi Siwon and Lee Donghae of Super Junior and Max Changmin of TVXQ.
The picture shows Brian flashing a gorgeous smile and flashing the V-sign, while the other three idols stand by looking handsome in their police uniforms. Siwon, Donghae, and Changmin all began their mandatory military service in 2015 as conscripted police officers. Part of the caption reads in English, “It was great to see my little brothers~ Felt like an SMTOWN gathering again.”
Brian Joo was an artist under SMTOWN when he debuted as part of the duo Fly To The Sky. During his time at SMTOWN, the artists all became friends. Their friendship continued due to common interests, specifically the fact that all four singers are known to be dedicated Christians and have attended church or Bible studies together. In addition, Choi Siwon has worked with the Christian singing group 3rd Wave Music, of which Brian Joo is the lead singer.
Brian Joo continues to maintain a friendly relationship with SMTOWN, despite no longer being with the label. At one of the SMTOWN concerts last year, he and his fellow Fly To The Sky member were invited to perform at the concert with current SM artists.
