BIGBANG‘s T.O.P is officially out of ICU and has transferred to a different hospital!
On June 9th KST, T.O.P was spotted leaving the hospital and being transported to another, more private location. According to the hospital that has been treating him until now, they do not have private rooms at their location and T.O.P’s guardian wanted a bit more privacy. Due to that, they decided to remove to an unnamed hospital where they could have some more privacy as he recovers in peace.
Although the press was waiting outside and swarmed him with cameras, What The Kpop has made the decision not to publish these pictures. We feel like this is a violation of his privacy and very tasteless on behalf of the media that swarmed him upon leaving and took endless pictures of him, despite him looking overwhelmed. Regardless of the situation, T.O.P is still recovering at this moment and deserved more respect and space as a patient.
We will say, however, that T.O.P looks a little better than expected, although he is obviously still under a strain and looks weak. Also of note, the singer spoke to the reports as he left, saying, “I’m sorry.”
We are so relieved to hear T.O.P is doing better and able to leave ICU. We hope you will continue to pray for his recovery and mental health as he begins treatment.
UPDATE: 6/9 KST YG Entertainment did make a statement and confirm T.O.P’s for reasons for changing hospitals: “We are deeply apologetic to the patients who have been inconvenienced for the past couple of days [due to the crowds of press at the hospital]. The medical team at the hospital recommended that T.O.P should be moved from the intensive care unit to the general ward. However, his guardian requested that he be moved to a different facility that has single patient rooms to make visiting him a smoother process. We will not be releasing the name of the new hospital since we wish to avoid the situation we faced at the first hospital. We ask for your understanding.”
