UPDATED: Cube Entertainment Backtracks On HyunA And E’Dawn Decision

UPDATED: After a press release from Cube Entertainment revealed they were removing HyunA and E’Dawn from their company, it seems the label is already having second thoughts.

Within a half hour of the shocking news, the announcement became one of the top trends worldwide, earning Cube ire from thousands of fans and netizens and sending their stock prices falling. Within two more hours, even international news outlets and companies (as well as a few fellow celebrities) had begun to talk about the news.

A short while later, Korean news also began to report that HyunA and E’Dawn had found out about their evident dismissal from news articles, drawing even more anger from concerned netizens. With all of the details coming out, it seems likely that the backlash is what is causing the company to reconsider their stance.

In a new report, Cube Entertainment said that they are now in discussion with the artists and nothing has been settled yet for a final decision.

On September 13th KST, Cube Entertainment released a statement on the matter discussing the need for the utmost trust between their artists and the agency. They then stated that they found that it ws not possible to regain the trust between them and E’Dawn and HyunA. Therefore, the decision to remove the two artists from the company was decided in the end.

The company continued by saying they are grateful for the fans and for both artists who have been with them until now.
