YG stans have a lot to look forward to these days! One of the main attractions being the long-awaited solo debut of iKON‘s Bobby. The rapper released his music video on September 7th and is already making waves with his solo debut.
The track entitled “HOLUP!” is everything fans were expecting- a heavy, fast-paced hip-hop beat with strong rap verses. The MV itself is very representative of YG’s signature style with a neon, party scene more reminiscent of a club than a house. The rapper himself debuted a new look, with heavily textured dreads and plenty of shirtless scenes to drive the fans crazy with his toned physique.
In addition to Bobby’s solo debut, fellow label-mate Mino of the group Winner will also be making his solo debut shortly. After that, the two are set to make a sub-unit called MOBB, with teaser images already being released in anticipation of the duo’s collaboration. So, stay tuned for more details and information regarding their other releases.
In other news, the music video was directed by Rome, former member of the now-disbanded boy group C-Clown. After the group disbanded, Rome (who now goes by the name Christian Yu) started a label for independent artists entitled Dream Perfect Regime. DPR is known to some fans as they have been featured on the YouTube channel of Amber from f(x).
