BLACKPINK’s “Playing With Fire” MV Shoots Past 100 Million Views, Sets New Record

April 11th is turning out to be a special day for Blinks everywhere as the popular girl group’s music video “Playing With Fire” (released November 2016) shot past 100 million views on YouTube! The founder of BLACKPINK’s agency, YG Entertainment’s Yang Hyun Suk, took to his personal Instagram to congratulate the girls.

“Playing With Fire” has done quite well in multiple domestic charts, as well as on the Billboard “World Digital Song Chart” and other overseas music charts, and it seems like the world can’t get enough of its fiery beats.

BLACKPINK, who debuted in August of 2016, is the first Kpop group to have two music videos with over 100 million views on YouTube in less than a year after their debut. Earlier this year, “Boombayah” accomplished this same impressive milestone. At over 99 million views, their music video “Whistle” looks likely to also pass the 100 million mark soon.

BLACKPINK has had quite a strong start, and we can’t wait to see how they will grow in the future!

Congratulations to BLACKPINK and their fans!
