After announcing that Kim Heechul would be taking on the role of mentor on the upcoming show “Idol School,” more cast members have now been announced.
The songwriting duo Black Eyed Pilseung will be acting as the music producer for the show, Jang Jin Young will be a music teacher, and Park Jun Hee will be the dance teacher.
“Idol School” is a new program similar to “Produce 101” where idol hopefuls will train and compete for a chance to debut. However, the twist is that the girls participating don’t necessarily need to have talent and everyone will be given an equal chance at pursuing their dreams. The show will train them extensively in everything from music and dance to personal management.
Black Eyed Pilseung is the songwriting duo behind hits such as SISTAR‘s “Touch My Body,” TWICE‘s “Like Ooh-Aah,” BEAST‘s “Fiction,” and Hyuna‘s “Bubble Pop,” to name just a few.
Jang Jin Young is a vocal trainer for SM Entertainment and works with artists like EXO, SHINee, Red Velvet, and more. He also gained a lot of recognition for his work on the hit show “Unnie’s Slam Dunk.”
Park Jun Hee is an established choreographer who became widely known as the brilliant mind behind GFRIEND‘s difficult choreography.
