The actress Song Yoo Jung has passed away.
On January 25th KST, Korean news begin to report that the young actress had passed away. Later, a source from the actress’ label Sublime Artist Agency revealed that the actress had indeed passed away on January 23rd.
The label later released an official statement confirming the news, adding that a quiet funeral had been held in accordance with the wishes of Song Yoo Jung’s family. The funeral procession was then held on the afternoon of January 25th KST.
The label went on to talk about Song Yoo Jung and her passion for acting, as well the joy she brought to others. They then closed by asking people to pray for her soul to rest in peace.
Despite rumors, the label did not comment on the cause of Song’s death.
Song Yoo Jung started her career as a model before making her acting debut in the popular 2013 series “Golden Rainbow.” She also appeared in other series such as “Make Your Wish” and “School 2017.” K-pop fans will also recognize Song from her appearances in various music videos, such as the one for iKON‘s hit song “Goodbye Road.”
She continued her modeling career as well, modeling for magazines like InStyle and NYLON. She also modeled for brands such as Estee Lauder, The Body Shop, Heart Percent, and more.
Song Yoo Jung was only 26 at the time of her passing.
