Hello lovelies, it’s time for another Kbeauty review by MNP! This time I’m reviewing the Everyday Bouncy Facial Mask by the up-and-coming brand PACKage. PACKage is a new and affordable Korean brand that launched last summer and is quickly growing in popularity around the world. They only have a handful of different products out right now and feature adorable and visually soothing packaging designed by Korean artist HAPOOOOOM. PACKage focuses on safe skincare using an “8 Free” system, meaning their products are currently formulated without parabens, fragrance, alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, PEG, silicone, pigment, and mineral oil. This is great news for those with sensitive skin and allergies, as well as those conscious of what’s in their cosmetics— like yours truly! Let’s take a look.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

The Everyday Bouncy Facial Mask is intended for daily use and contains anti-inflammatory ingredients honey and propolis extract, moisturizing galactomyces ferment filtrate, and hydrating hyaluronic acid to for soft, glowy, and “bouncy” skin. The sheet mask material is lyocell, an eco-friendly fabric regenerated from wood cellulose.

INGREDIENTS:

Water, Methylpropanediol, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Arginine, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Honey Extract, Propolis Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Glycerin, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, PVM/MA Copolymer, Trehalose, Panthenol, Allantoin

PRODUCT PERFORMANCE:

The sheet mask is thin but pretty sturdy. It was very difficult to unfold, however. The serum is thin and jelly-like which made it a bit slippery and the mask kept sticking back together. With that said, the adhesion is great! You definitely don’t have to worry about it falling off. It didn’t fit well as there were big gaps around the nose and eye areas, but after some fiddling I was able to get it placed where I needed. It doesn’t have much of a scent— as expected being free of added fragrance— and the light consistency of the serum felt nice on my skin. I left it on for around 30 minutes then applied the little leftover serum from the package; it took a few minutes to absorb and my face felt refreshed for a few hours afterward. I wouldn’t say it reduced redness but it did brighten and moisturize somewhat. Unfortunately, the effects weren’t at all noticeable after the serum absorbed and it left my face looking and feeling as normal. Overall, it was gentle on my skin and it’s good for daily use as an enhancement to your skincare routine, but not for any sort of intensive treatment.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Although I was a bit disappointed at the (lack of) results from this mask, especially given how hyped up it is, the concept behind PACKage intrigues me and the short list of ingredients friendly for sensitive skin has me considering repurchasing it to see how to it affects my skin over time with, uh, near daily use. All in all, at approx. $2 USD it’s still worth trying, if for nothing more than to admire the super cute art of a bear holding a flower. <3
