Sandara Park is noted as one of the most influential Korean stars in the Philippines— due to the fact that before she gained popularity as a singer and member of the YG Entertainment group 2ne1, she was already a popular actress in the Filipino entertainment industry.
“One Step” is a Korean musical based on the American movie “Begin Again.” It is directed by Jeon Jae Hong and co-stars Han Jae Suk.
Sandara Park plays Si-Hyun, a girl who loses her memory due to a car accident. During the process of regaining her memory, she meets Ji-il, a frustrated music composer who sees music as his life but loses everything and left unable to compose new songs. The two struggle on their journey and help each other regain what they lost through pursuing music.
Though a Korean film with Korean stars, the movie is proving Ms. Park’s popularity in the Philippines as Viva Films, a Filipino movie production company, purchased the rights for the film and begin airing it in cinemas on May 10th, making it the first country to release the movie.
