Moon Chae Won And Lee Joon Gi Confirmed For Korean Remake Of “Criminal Minds”

Moon Chae Won is back on the big screen since the hit “Mood of the Day” movie and “Goodbye Mr. Black” drama. She was cast as the female lead in Korean version of “Criminal Minds,” along with Lee Joon Gi (“Scarlet Heart: Ryeo”) as the male lead. After his Hollywood debut in “Resident Evil: Final Chapter,” fans have been anticipating the actor’s next project.

“Criminal Minds” is an action-packed, suspense, crime series which is set to be the American remake of CBS drama which begin airing in 2005. The original series focused on a group of FBI profilers who used their criminal psychology tricks to catch culprits behind various criminal activities.

According to Naver, the two stars have finally accepted the roles for the Korean adaptation of American crime drama. The script reading was conducted April 7, 2017. Taewon Entertainment and Next Entertainment will be producing the drama for Korean television.

Korea has already made remakes of some American based series such as “The Good Wife” and ‘’Entourage’.”

This drama will be under tvN network and is targeted to air by July of this year with a total of 20 episodes.
