BTS has been nominated in the Billboard Music Award’s Top Social Artist category and these are probably the reasons why. Every single member makes sure to interact with their fans, also known as A.R.M.Y, because they want to listen to what they have to say too! Over and over again, they have captured fans’ hearts— so much that all those retweets and heart tappings on Twitter have made them the first Kpop act to be nominated for a BBMA.
Here are seven ways, one for every member, that BTS has won over our phones, even without that custom-made case with their faces on it.
1- Their music videos and dance practices are always a “must-see” for Kpop reaction videos on YouTube, but their Bangtan Bombs are what keep fans aware that BTS like to see themselves too!
2- Besides YouTube, their V Live Channel offers more variety content and in-depth videos for some one-on-one time with fans. Who doesn’t like waking up in the middle of the night to listen to V ramble and then show off his hotel bed?
3- If forum boards are more of your thing, BTS has their own fan cafe… all in Korean. When you can find translations, or try to understand Google’s awkward phrases, then you can be blessed with a lot of Jin’s dad jokes.
4- Instagram is full of all their teaser pictures of every comeback they had so far. You know it’s the real account when they don’t follow anyone and keep their grid gallery looking like full posters that you just want to print off.
5- Most indirectly, however, the memes and gifs of Tumblr that spread all across the internet are what fans’ inside jokes are made of. BTS has even acknowledged it themselves!
6- Generally using under ten words, and with media almost always included, BTS truly reigns in the world of Twitter with their group account. Things can be clarified, like when a member’s social life is at risk.

7- If you really want to find out what is going on with BTS, look no further than their CEO himself, PD Bang Si Hyuk. His Twitter account is basically a list of retweets of ALL things BTS— and much-desired selfies!

The A.R.M.Y fandom is no stranger to these mediums and are making it possible for BTS to make it this far in their careers! Will all the effort be worth it when they attend the BBMAs on May 21st? I’ll be checking my notifications for that!
