Kpop legend Seo Taiji has announced that the first artist to participate in his remake collaboration project 25 is BTS!
On April 24th KST, it was revealed that BTS would be the first artist to join Seo Taiji’s project 25. Project 25 is a collaboration between Seo Taiji and junior artists to remake his famous songs and present them during his 25th anniversary concert.
Last year, BTS covered Seo Taiji’s “Class Idea” at the 2016 KBS Song Festival and became a hot topic of conversation, not only among Seo Taiji fans, but casual listeners in South Korea and overseas as well. Seo Taiji was very pleased with the performance.
Remakes such as Sung Si Kyung‘s “To You” and Ha Hyun Woo‘s “Hayoga” received good results as well, so there are high expectations for this project.
Seo Taiji will recommend the participating musicians personally and hopes to bring out the individuality of the artists while also creating meaningful music. The remaining participants, which will range from idols to talented vocalists, will be revealed gradually.
Seo Taiji will hold his 25th anniversary concert on September 2nd in Seoul. The set list will feature his 25 years of music history from his debut to the present. It is sure to be a special event!
