P1Harmony is back with their seventh mini-album SAD SONG on September 20th at 1 p.m. KST!
The title track “Sad Song” is a hip-hop song that features a unique Latin rhythm and the members’ unique voices that stand out over an upbeat and addictive piano riff.
The main concept continues the group’s lore as they reprise their roles as six heroes saving the world from disharmony. The sextet sings about the emptiness and loneliness that comes to a hero after saving the world and restoring peace.
P1Harmony’s own Jiung, Intak, and Jongseob took part in the lyrics alongside Sooyoon (of Royal Pirates fame) and Han Sungho. The latter also composed the track with Nathan Cunningham, Marc Sibley, Patrick ‘J.Que’ Smith, and Anthony Watts.
The music video for “Sad Song” expands on the worldview presented through the lyrics. P1Harmony once again worked with Rigend Film which produced the music video for their previous comeback, “Killin’ It,” creating another high-quality cinematic production to the group’s videography.
SAD SONG consists of seven tracks, including the team’s first unit song “WASP” by rappers Intak and Jongseob. The pair have always penned lyrics on P1Harmony’s tracks and SAD SONG is no exception.
Fellow member Jiung contributed lyrics to six songs in addition to composing “Last Call” while Keeho took part in composing the track, “It’s Alright.” Since its debut, the group has been actively involved in many aspects of the creation process which remains true for this latest release.
