Woollim boy group DRIPPIN is back after only four months since their last comeback on August 19th at 6 p.m. KST! The sextet returns with their fifth single album Weekend and the music video for its title track of the same name.
“Weekend” is a dance song in the emo-pop genre with a refreshing electric guitar, a groovy bass sound, and an impressive repetitive melody in the chorus featuring an exciting and cool sound that expresses trembling emotions, harmonized with DRIPPIN’s charming vocals.
The lyrics convey the healing and freedom felt from going on a trip amid everyday boring life. It was written by songwriters B.O., J.DOOR, and 512 and composed by Yoon Ah Rom in addition to B&NAz and Rizin of 153/Joombas.
In the music video, DRIPPIN enjoys and heals themselves by travelling together, creating a summer fairy tale. The team’s youthfulness is paired with the natural scenery of the Korean countryside capturing something special and fun.
Weekend contains two b-sides “Fly High” and “TIME” which continue to tell different sides of DRIPPIN’s summer stories.
