K-pop’s resident co-ed quartet KARD is back with their seventh mini-album Where To Now? (Part.1 : Yellow Light) on August 13th at 6 p.m. KST!
The title track “Tell My Momma” is an attractive song with a unique chord progression and an intensely addictive repetitive chorus. The enticing synth sound throughout creates a warm and bright sound, while the catchy beat delivers a cool energy.
Featuring witty lyrics about introducing someone special to your mom create a playful atmosphere. KARD members BM and J.Seph participated in writing “Tell My Momma” alongside Sophia Brenan and Castle who also composed the track.
The music video reinterprets 1980s American fashion styles with all four KARD members sporting bleach-blonde hair. It was shot entirely on location in Milan, Italy by a local production team including an Italian director.
While each member tells their individual stories in clearly defined scenes, the city acts as a conspicuous fifth character. The high-quality film gives prominence to the rich architecture, historic art culture, and iconic luxury cars.
KARD’s seventh mini-album Where To Now? (Part.1 : Yellow Light) kicks off the group’s first album series and includes a total of five songs and two instrumental tracks.
