On June 28 at 9 a.m. KST, Lisa released her new solo single “ROCKSTAR,” along with the music video for the song.
“ROCKSTAR” is a track that highlights Lisa’s skilled rap and energetic pop vocals. In-demand producer Ryan Tedder of American pop-rock band OneRepublic and Sam Homaee participated in the song, while the BLACKPINK member penned her own lyrics.
In the music video for “ROCKSTAR,” which marks her first release since establishing her own agency, Lisa exudes confidence and charisma while showcasing her powerful dance skills. It was filmed in Bangkok, Thailand and contains Lisa’s daily life and highlights her Thai culture, as she shows off her unrivalled presence by taking over the city with spectacular choreography. Additionally, Lisa sets the mood with a Mega Crew performance before stealing the show with her solo.
The “ROCKSTAR” single contains five versions of the song — extended, sped up, slowed down and instrumental.
