During their last promotions, the girl group formerly known as woo!ah! announced their rebranding as WOOAH.
Now, on June 17th at 6 p.m. KST, with their second mini-album UNFRAMED and title track “POM POM POM,” the quintet has transformed once again! The girls showed off their fresh changes through their music and concept, showing a new side of themselves with a fiercer, more charismatic concept.
“POM POM POM” starts with a grand and intense feeling from the introduction, impressing listeners with its colorful composition and addictive melody. The lyrics instill confidence in the listener while the intense sound conveys WOOAH’s straightforward and strong energy, as they break away from their previous cute girl image.
The track was composed by a talented team of producers consisting of Barry Cohen, Lenno Linjama, Gavin Jones, Justin Reinstein, Anna Timgren, and Ryan S. Jhun. The latter also wrote the song with lyricist Jiin (ZNEE:US).
The regal “POM POM POM” music video is packed with powerful visuals and a passionate attitude, that WOOAH executes with conviction and style. Jam Republic dancer Audrey, whose team was the runner-up of “Street Woman Fighter 2,” and Jo Nain, from Just Jerk Crew and “Street Dance Girls Fighter” winning team TURNS, participated in the choreography. At the same time, six renowned choreography teams from around the world came together to show an unforgettable performance.
WOOAH’s second mini-album UNFRAMED contains six songs including the previous digital single “BLUSH” and an EDM version of the title track.
