On May 10th at noon KST, BTS leader RM, dropped pre-release single “Come back to me” ahead of his second solo album Right Place, Wrong Person.
The track is an indie pop song that is representative of the albums main theme and puts RM’s calm and soothing vocals front and centre. It was produced by Oh Hyuk of the band Hyukoh, while Kuo-Hung Tseng of Taiwanese five-piece band Sunset Rollercoaster played guitar and bass on the song.
“Come back to me” once again sees RM collaborate with friend and fellow musician San Yawn of Balming Tiger as well as producer JNKYRD who also worked on the track.
The music video plays out like a short film, with RM showing off his acting skills in an engaging and creative story.
Despite being enlisted, RM — along with the rest of the BTS members — had prepared new music and content in advance for fans to tie them over while completing their mandatory military service.
According to BigHit Music, RM in particular filmed music videos for almost half of the album’s tracks before his enlistment in December. Right Place, Wrong Person will be released on May 24th KST.
