WATCH: Doh Kyung Soo (EXO’s D.O) Feels Stuck On “Mars” In Comeback MV

Doh Kyung Soo (D.O) dropped his third mini-album BLOSSOM on May 7th at 6 p.m. KST along with the music video for “Mars.”

The title track is a minimalist, mid-tempo pop song that asks, “Can we love each other even though we are so different as if we live on different planets?” while promising to be courageous enough to reach out to the other person first.

Swedish producer Simon Petrén, who has produced a variety of releases from the singer’s former company SM Entertainment, composed and arranged “Mars” with Norwegian artist Peder Elias. Additionally, lyricist Park Tae Won penned the Korean lyrics.

As expected from D.O — whose music videos always contain a playful charm — “Mars” sees Kyung Soo attempting to communicate with an unknown being in many unique and creative ways.

BLOSSOM contains six songs and is the first album released by the singer since joining Company SooSoo as a soloist. The Korean title of the album translates to Growth and is the perfect word to describe what the record represents both musically and personally for Doh Kyung Soo.
