82MAJOR explodes back onto the scene with their first comeback since their debut!
The six-member boy group dropped their first mini-album BEAT by 82 and the music video for the title song “Choke” on April 29th at 6 p.m. KST.
The track focuses on the fluent rapping and vocals of the members against minimalist sounds. It captures the confidence and intense attitude of the group while using witty language and wordplay in the addictive chorus.
“Choke” was written and composed by prominent K-Hip Hop producers and rappers MILLIC, IOAH, XINSAYNE, JP, and K-indie singer gyuahh. 82MAJOR members Seongmo and Yechan also participated in writing lyrics and the latter also participated in the song’s arrangement.
That theme continues on the rest of BEAT by 82 with every member participating in songwriting across the four tracks, including the closing track “82” composed entirely of self-written raps by the members.
