WATCH: PICKUS Makes A Fairytale Debut With “Little Prince” MV

Fresh boy group on the scene PICKUS has made its debut!

On April 23rd at 6 p.m. KST, the team dropped their first mini-album Little Prince and the music video for the title track of the same name.

Comprised of six members selected by global fans through the MBC M audition program “FAN PICK” in 2023, the multinational group consists of talented members from Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.

Debut song “Little Prince” is a colorful and dramatic composition of bouncy synth-pop, dance breaks, and slap bass, that makes you feel like you’re flying alongside PICKUS.

Using the nursery rhyme theme “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” sampled in the intro, the familiar yet addictive lyrics and melody catch the listener’s ear from the very first note. Meanwhile, the poetic words and fresh atmosphere create excitement like the spring breeze.

The music video showcases PICKUS’ enchanting dance moves of intricate and creative choreography, strong teamwork, and various charms that won the hearts of “FAN PICK” viewers. Not only that but the now-iconic “Paradise Diner” — which has been used in countless K-pop MVs — can be seen.

Also evident in the music video is the appearance of seven members instead of six. Originally a seven-member group, former member Hyesung departed the team less than a week before debut, which was too late to change the music video.

However, the remaining six-member line-up of RickyMingeun, KotaroHyeonseungYura, and Nam Son, have reworked the choreography and other aspects including line distribution in preparation for their first broadcast stage and subsequent performances.

The first mini album Little Prince includes b-side tracks “Wolf” and “A-CHA” which were both final mission songs featured on “FAN PICK.”
